Don't for one minute think you are going to get anything that does not require lots of work. With this
in mind, the main consideration has to be location as the cost of renovation or rebuild is about the
same regardless of the chosen area. You should allow about €400 per sq metre for a local builder
to do the work, but this could be higher depending on the finishes you choose.
Lots of property agents in Portugal have hundreds of houses to choose from in this price range, but
very few have that 'wow' factor when it comes to location. We try to fill that gap by having only

We meet up with you for a coffee or lunch and get to know exactly what you are looking for
and what your plans are for the future. You will be able to look through our brochure on
properties and discuss with us the location, condition, price etc.
Having chosen several properties, we will then make arrangements with the owners for a
viewing,at this stage, if you wish, we will have our legal representative present to answer
any questions.
If you decide to purchase a property, we will then help you with your fiscal numbers and
bank accounts and start the paperwork with our lawyer.
When all the paperwork is complete, the transfer of ownership is carried out at the notary's
office. If you cannot return to Portugal when this is due, we will if you wish, represent you
and ensure the deeds are given to your lawyer or sent to you by registered post.
